My exhibition Collecting Memories presents a collection of memories, storytelling, and folklore, celebrating the folktales of Latin America, mainly from my homeland, Guatemala. The bold colors, patterns, and themes are recollections of the collective imagination that inspired me while growing up. I'm aiming to translate into visual form the fantastical tales and characters passed down by oral tradition through generations, offering a contemporary approach to Latin American aesthetics, traditions, and tales.
On View: May 29th - July 11th
Opening Reception: May 29th, 5-8 p.m.
